MDT and the Expo

I recently recorded my latest episode of the ‘MyDanTime’ series with Terry Cook at The Instructor Podcast.  We focussed on the importance of instructors ‘getting involved’ to improve awareness, skills and knowledge.

It was a timely subject after our attendance at the recent ADINJC/Intelligent Instructor Conference & Expo in Newark – an event that attracted nearly 1,400 ADIs, giving up their Sunday to invest in themselves. 

Effort like that is what will change our industry into a profession, and it was great to meet faces old and new.

This is yet another year-on-year rise in attendance that is great to see – both with my ADINJC and MyDriveTime hats on! 

I enjoyed speaking to a room of ADIs and PDIs on ‘How to Handle Pricing’ during the event too.  I hope those who attended found it useful, will be confident with their own pricing strategy and see increased earnings moving forward.

Along with the other speakers, all giving up their time to help educate and guide the audience, I was buoyed by the number and range of exhibitors promoting their services.  It’s a great way to see what’s available, what’s new and pick up some freebies! 

Sure, delegates still walk past many of them trying to avoid eye contact, but we were kept busy all day catching up with our lovely customers, and potential new ones, all wanting to know about our ground-breaking new version and how we can support and boost their business. 

It really is a huge rush when we show people what we do and see their surprise.

So for those who came to say ‘hello’, thank you.  For those who wandered past, unsure about us, I hope you’ll reach out because we’re very keen to help everyone be the best they can be.
